Food Brings Hope provides academic enrichment, tutoring, and weekend food bags at many schools throughout Volusia and Flagler counties. Food Brings Hope consists of the following programs:

The Lemerand
Center of Excellence
Established in 2023, The Lemerand Center of Excellence (LCE) is a unique partnership between FBH Community, Volusia County Schools, & Daytona State College to offer innovative tutoring and enrichment programs for elementary students. The statistics below represent results from the 2024 to 2025 academic year.

Drop The Box
Expanding food access through community partnership and convenient distribution.
Drop the Box is a community food assistance initiative designed to increase access to shelf-stable food and essential household items for individuals and families facing food insecurity.
Through partnerships with local organizations, schools, community sites, and volunteers, pre-packed food boxes are distributed directly into areas with limited food access. The program helps reduce transportation barriers while providing a convenient and reliable way for families to receive support.
Each box may include:
• Shelf-stable food items
• Pantry essentials
• Family meal support items
• Seasonal or community-donated products
Drop the Box works alongside FBHCommunity’s broader food assistance efforts to help ensure families have continued access to nutritious food and supportive resources throughout the year.
