Farshad Babazadeh Honors Program
Vision
An initiative with a special focus in STEM studies for our highest aspiring students.
Mission
We aspire to increase academic and personal enrichment opportunities for targeted high-achieving students from very low socioeconomic or homeless families. Through rigorous, rich and varied academic and non-academic programs, we seek to empower creative and analytical thinking, giving these students the necessary skills to be able to continue their studies at an accredited college or university in the STEM fields.
Founded in 2012 in memory of Farshad Babazadeh, FBHonors serves high-achieving, economically disadvantaged students in elementary, middle, and high schools. Participating students will have scored a 4 or 5 on FAST test assessments in Progress Monitoring 3. The program focuses on cutting edge trends in STEM education, offering students small group learning settings to enhance college and career opportunities. FBHonors students are also offered continued support as college students.
